Jason Simonin, Founder
Jason Simonin was born in Marshall Missouri, and moved to Eastern Jackson County at a young age. The youngest of two, and graduating from Oak Grove High School, he pursued a college degree, but couldn’t shake his entrepreneurial desires. Devoting full time to his real estate investing dreams, Jason quickly amassed a portfolio of almost 100 properties during his 20’s, providing good homes to good people.
Jason is currently the COO of Topstone Investment, a Real Estate private equity fund and investment company, devoted to making social impact in the low income housing sector. Holding properties in 10 major metropolitan cities in the Midwest, their mission is to turn houses into homes, and to inspire change in underserved neighborhoods and communities across the Midwest. He’s also a part of Roof4All Realty, a Real Estate Brokerage extension of Topstone, and owner of Grace Project Services.
Jason is a devoted father, husband, friend, member of his church, and business owner. Being a huge supporter of our US Military, Jason co-founded Operation Uplift to show our deployed military brothers and sisters a few simple things. That we love, care, support, and truly value their service and sacrifice in the name of our freedoms and liberty. He believes that we have so much to be thankful for living in this great country, and passionately pursues serving and doing what he can to properly recognize and honor those who give so much. Helping them right where they are, in mind, body, and spirit.

Michelle Carlson, Founder
Michelle ‘Mickey’ was born and raised in Kansas, and her passion is supporting those in our armed forces. She is the eldest of three and graduated from DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Kansas. Mickey is a civilian, business professional, wife, mother, volunteer, and advocate for giving back to our military community.
Mickey has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Baker University, presently serves as an officer of The Yarco Companies, has served as a Board Member for EPN (Employment Practices Network of Kansas City) and presently serves as the State of Missouri Employer Outreach Director for ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves).
Maintains her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) and Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from the Society of Human Resource Management SHRM), has been the recipient of the Johnson County Court Appointed Special Advocate of the Year award and has recently received ESGR James M Roche Spirit of Volunteerism Award.
Mickey entrusts in the power of giving and positive affirmation and believes supporting our military community and their families is paramount to the continued success of Operation Uplift.
